Anglotopia Alert: Introducing the Shiny New 2nd Edition of 101 Budget Britain Travel Tips!

April 1, 2021 By Jonathan Leave a Comment

Over a decade ago, we published a guidebook called 101 Budget Britain Travel Tips, and it was a good seller for us. But at that time, we knew a lot less about publishing book and in the years after, the book became woefully out of date.

So, we withdrew it from sale last year with the intention of rewriting it.

Life got in the way, but I finally rewrote the thing over the last few months. Every tip in the book has had a rewrite; several have been deleted because they were no longer relevant, and there are now several new sections that represent updated info on travel in Britain. We’ve also formatted the book in a way that demonstrates our budget ethos. There are no pictures in the book; it’s black & white to cut down on printing costs. We have priced the book at $19.99 to make it as budget-conscious as possible. The book is compact at 5×8 inches and 134 pages, so it won’t take up a lot of space in your luggage. There’s even a DRM-free eBook version that costs half the price.

It’s the best and one of the only guides to traveling to Britain on a budget, and from today it’s for sale everywhere.

Most Anglotopia fans are probably already aware of the book, as you may have already purchased it in the Save Anglotopia drive last month (thank you!). We will have our shipment from the printer any day now, so If you pre-ordered, then you will have your copy very soon. I will ship them to everyone as soon as they come in.

For those that didn’t order during the appeal, you can now buy the book from any bookstore (or still directly from us).

You can order it from Amazon, but you can also order it from your local independent bookshop if you give them the title or ISBN. Check with Indiebound or Bookshop.org to support your local bookstore. We make the most money if you buy it directly from us, and once we get our shipment, we will have them in stock for the foreseeable future. All the order links are at the bottom of this post.

About the book:

It’s no secret that Britain is an expensive place. We certainly know. After making nearly 20 trips to the UK over the last two decades, we’ve seen the best and the worst that Britain has to offer in the budget travel realm. Britain may be expensive, but with careful planning and thought, you can travel there on a budget and still enjoy yourself. So, that’s why we decided to write this guide – to help anyone planning or thinking of planning a trip to Britain to save money so they can make it happen.

WHAT’S INCLUDED? Find out the cheapest ways to travel around Britain. Find out the tourist attractions you can avoid. Find free things to do in Britain’s major cities Travel planning tips to plan with a budget in mind from day one. Find out how to visit Britain’s stately homes practically for free. Shopping tips to save money on souvenirs. Lodging tips so your hotel stay doesn’t break the bank. How to eat in Britain cheaply. And so much more! Even savvy travellers will learn something new from this book, where we’ve distilled 20 years of travel experience down to 101 tips to save you money on your trip to Britain. In the post-COVID travel world, get Britain Travel Ready with 101 Budget Britain Travel Tips by Anglotopia.
