Over a decade ago, we published a guidebook called 101 Budget Britain Travel Tips, and it was a good seller for us. But at that time, we knew a lot less about publishing book and in the years after, the book became woefully out of date.
So, we withdrew it from sale last year with the intention of rewriting it.
Life got in the way, but I finally rewrote the thing over the last few months. Every tip in the book has had a rewrite; several have been deleted because they were no longer relevant, and there are now several new sections that represent updated info on travel in Britain. We’ve also formatted the book in a way that demonstrates our budget ethos. There are no pictures in the book; it’s black & white to cut down on printing costs. We have priced the book at $19.99 to make it as budget-conscious as possible. The book is compact at 5×8 inches and 134 pages, so it won’t take up a lot of space in your luggage. There’s even a DRM-free eBook version that costs half the price.
It’s the best and one of the only guides to traveling to Britain on a budget, and from today it’s for sale everywhere.
Most Anglotopia fans are probably already aware of the book, as you may have already purchased it in the Save Anglotopia drive last month (thank you!). We will have our shipment from the printer any day now, so If you pre-ordered, then you will have your copy very soon. I will ship them to everyone as soon as they come in.
For those that didn’t order during the appeal, you can now buy the book from any bookstore (or still directly from us).
You can order it from Amazon, but you can also order it from your local independent bookshop if you give them the title or ISBN. Check with Indiebound or Bookshop.org to support your local bookstore. We make the most money if you buy it directly from us, and once we get our shipment, we will have them in stock for the foreseeable future. All the order links are at the bottom of this post.
