Great news for Royal watchers! The Duchess of Sussex’s wedding dress and the Duke’s dress uniform that they wore during the Royal Wedding will go in display at Windsor Castle this October. They’ll also be displayed in Scotland in 2019.
From The Royal Collection Trust:
We’re excited to announce that the wedding outfits of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be on display at Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse during 2018-2019. See Prince Harry’s Blues and Royals frockcoat uniform, and admire the elegance of the bride’s wedding dress, designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, with its five-metre-long veil delicately embroidered with every national flower from all 53 countries of the Commonwealth. Also on public display for the first time will be the diamond and platinum bandeau tiara, lent to the bride by Her Majesty The Queen.
Dates: Windsor Castle – 26 October 2018 to 6 January 2019
Tickets to the exhibition: A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are included in the standard admission price for Windsor Castle.
This is bound to be very popular, so I would urge you to book your tickets ahead. And plan to spend the day in Windsor, it’s a lovely town (and don’t forget to go across the river to Eton).
In 2019, the clothes will also go on display at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh from 14 June to 6 October 2019 (tickets become available from November 1st).
