The BBC aired a short tribute to Elisabeth Sladen, aka Sarah Jane Smith right after the Doctor Who series 6 premiere aired tonight in the UK.
The wonderful blog Blogtor Who has put them on YouTube for all to watch. Check it out below.

I was introduced to Sarah Jane almost at once as I got into Doctor Who. I was 12 when I first saw New Earth. I was following the new series along as it aired in America on the sci-fi channel.
Two weeks later I met Sarah. I was intrigued and amazed by her. She was the first classic companion I knew of. I loved her heart, humor, and smile.
I’m 18 now and I’ve grown to love her as if she was my own mother. I loved Sarah Jane Adventures (though I only got to see one series of it) and fell even more in love with Sarah Jane.
Elisabeth had this knack to take a show that was directed at kids and make the whole family love it.
Her apperance’s on Doctor Who will always be what I loved best. I didn’t really lose control of my emotions during this tribute until they showed the final scene of her in “Journey’s End.” With the whole group, flying the TARDIS. That scene is just so special to me and I love it. It’s been the one scene that I haven’t been able to watch because of the absence I feel in my life now.
Of course I never met Elisbaeth but I feel as if I knew her. I bought classic who episodes strictly because she was on them. Doctor Who will never quite be the same again for me. Knowing I’ll never see Sarah Jane again. Knowing I’ll never have the chance of waking up to the news that there’s gonna be another cross over.
The cross over episodes will always be my favorites.
Thank you Elisbaeth for enriching the last six years of my life. Thank you for the laughter and the tears. I love you and I’ll always miss you.
RIP.
