Some lovely news amongst the torrent of bad news lately, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting again, their third child.
The announcement came from Kensington Palace today:
Their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. As with her previous two pregnancies, the duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. Her royal highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road children’s centre in London today. The duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.
What lovely news and we hope the Duchess is able to cope with the extreme morning sickness (Mrs Anglotopia suffered from hyperemesis with our little Anglotopettes, so she has our sympathies).
The child will be the fifth in line for the throne and push Prince Harry down to the sixth place. The Duke and Duchess have already have one son, George, and one daughter, Charlotte, aged four and two.
